Gifts Just For You

Gifts Just For You, Jemeria Cummings, Middle Georgia Christian Voice, Spiritual Gifts, Spiritual Gift Test

“I wish that all people were as I am; but each person has his own gift from God, one of this kind and one of that.” 1 Corinthians 7:7

Have you ever been given a gift you absolutely hated? You wondered for days on end trying to figure out what the person was thinking? Why would they think you would like the gift at all? Or maybe, you were the gift giver and could tell from their expression they did not appreciate your gift. I am sure many of us have been in both shoes at one time or did another.

Giving gifts can be a hard task. Those who are thoughtful gift givers like to present gifts their recipients would love and appreciate, gifts to be put to use in no time. As believers, God has given each one of us gifts, even beyond the Ultimate Gift, His Son Jesus in whom we celebrate on this Christmas Day. There was not one of us He overlooked.

What Is Your Gift?

You may be wondering what your gift is. Pray and ask God.

You may know exactly what your gift is. Use it for the glory of God.

You may be scared of using your gift because you are worried about what people think. “In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid of what man can do unto me.” Psalms 56:11

You may not feel deserving or worthy. “For the gifts of God are without repentance.” Romans 11:29

You may think you will fail. “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens and empowers you.” Philippians 4:13

Jesus was born, served, and died so we might have life and have it more abundantly. Let’s use the gifts He gave to us by way of the Holy Spirit to honor Him and win souls for the kingdom. Whatever your gift may be, tap into it and use it for the glory of our Savior.

Merry Christmas!!

NOTE from Joyce, The Editor: I have taken the Spiritual Gifts three or four times through my life. It is interesting the more mature I became in life the higher my numbers in each of my gifted areas. As I use the gifts God has given me the more experience and confidence I had in the areas He gifted me. Don’t be afraid to use your gifts for Him. He will help you in ways you would never imagine as you are obedient to Him.
