“But my God shall supply all your need according
to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
As a breastfeeding mother, my little one depended upon me for everything from upkeep, shelter, and most of all food. After four months of solely breastfeeding, my milk production started declining. What could I do to fix this?
The simplest solution would have been to give up, lose faith in myself, and declare my season for breastfeeding over. When deep in my heart, I still wanted to nourish my beautiful baby with my milk.
I have provided this example to say sometimes we fail to realize seasons of drought may cause us to do things a little different in our lives. We may have to supplement for a while until we can build back up to where we were, or beyond it. When we experience seasons of drought it does not mean we are at our end. We may have to call a few companies and let them know we can’t pay this month or cut out some leisure to catch up on our priorities.
We need a little faith, and trust God to supply our every need. It may seem like our way of life is crumbling before our very eyes, but hang in there and watch God turn our little into much. One thing to remember is God’s way is not our way, we don’t know how he’s going to do it, but we trust in Him to supply our every need.
Father, we humbly thank you for working in the midst and supplying us with our needs. We ask you to take the little bit of faith we have and increase it so we may depend on you Lord, and you only for our provisions. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
